I'm on Moterey 12.6.3 on an 8 Core I9 16" MacBook Pro, 16GB RAM and AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 4GB RAM. I have also tried different projects e.g 4K, HD, 25 fps, 29.97 fps, 50 fps etc. I am importing basic RGB JPEG's at less than HD resolution that will import without issue into FCPX / Photoshop etc. I have tried importing from different drives ( system and 2 external) and also importing the files from different layers of the directory e.g not from a nest of sub folders but first visible file. I have not managed once to start a new project this morning as when I import 1 file the 2nd import will crash. As soon as I select Import and the file browser opens, Motion hangs and then crashes (the most common error). 2, I can navigate to the file but as soon as I click import Motion crashes. It works and I can navigate to the file and import. In a new project, I'll select file import to bring in assets, one of three things happens, 1. Motion crashes on file import Motion crashes on file import. This is making me really stressed out, as I use FireAlpaca for all my digital drawings and I even have a commission I was working on.(I'm using macOS Catalina) And yes, I tried opening it from control-clicking it in Finder and still nothing. I am not sure what to do.I have tried seeing if it was because it was from an unidentified developer, but I allowed the Mac to open it and it still didn't work, so I don't think it was because of that. I even tried downloading FireAlpaca again and duplicating the original FireAlpaca file and opening the duplicate, but it does the exact same thing: Every time I try to open it, it opens a folder in Finder that has an "Abort.dat" file in it and a bunch of autosaved files of drawings I was working on. When it came back on, everything was normal, except for the fact that FireAlpaca, the app I use to draw, would not open. So I was watching YouTube on my MacBook Air when all of a sudden the screen went to a colored static screen. ![]()
